Established in 1979 under the Tourism Queensland Act (PDF), Tourism Queensland is a statutory authority under the jurisdiction of the Minister for Tourism. It provides an integrated approach to tourism policy, planning, destination development and marketing. Tourism Queensland provides guidance and leadership to Queensland's tourism industry.
Tourism Queensland aims to enhance the development and marketing of Queensland’s tourism destinations in partnership with industry, government and the community.
